Joint Asian Judicial Evaluations Committee (JAJEC)
KABA is a charter member of the JAJEC Joint Asian Judicial Evaluations Committee, which includes the Asian Bar Association of Washington, Filipino Lawyers of Washington, South Asian Bar Alliance of Washington, Vietnamese-American Bar Association of Washington and Middle Eastern Legal Association of Washington. KABA served as JAJEC Chair in 2007, 2012, 2022, and 2023. KABA members who participate in this committee evaluate candidates for Washington judicial positions. A minimum of three years of practice is required to serve on JAJEC.
